The
Beauty of the Journey
Langston
Hughes wrote of a "dream deferred." A dream can
smolder for years, so far below the conscious level that
it seems dead, and then explode into a full-blown passion...Jill
Jones knows that. |

Art,
politics makes artist's life peachy
Jean Jones has had nearly 65 years of experience
with Upstate peaches. She's eaten them, cobbled them, pickled
them and even painted them. Though she hasn't had to find
out what paint works best on peach fuzz, she's brought the

Local
artists hold other jobs to pay the bills
It's an arts town, everyone agrees. lmpressive talent. Galleries
by the dozen. Community support to rival almost any Southern

Adventures - Artist
Adventures offers workshops designed for artists on any level of
expertise, focusing on deep immersion in the culture of the area.
The daily classes offer artists an opportunity to explore and expand
"the inner artist" to new heights of creativity. Workshop
groups are limited to eight students, allowing each participant
full attention and assistance from the instructors. Attention will
also be given to non-painting companions, who will have the opportunity
to participate in a large selection of activities, or just hang
out in town, making friends and relaxing while the students are
creating.
