The Artist Index is an internet resource that supports our area's visual arts by promoting area artists and the galleries that represent them to the people interested in original art.

To accomplish this, The Artist Index features

  • a special selection of Artist Portfolios designed to give an overview of our area’s talent, and

  • a group of directories connecting art lovers with artists and gallery websites within our geographical area

How do I participate?

It’s easy. Find the circumstances below that best describes you:

Fine Artists...

    • who have a website and are located within 75-miles of Spartanburg, SC click here.

    • who DO NOT have a website and are located within 75-miles of Spartanburg, SC click here

Commercial Fine Art Galleries...

    • which have a website and are located within 100-miles of Spartanburg, SC click here.

    • which DO NOT have a website and are located within 100-miles of Spartanburg, SC click here.

Institutional Art Galleries which have a website and are located within 100-miles of Spartanburg, SC click here.

Rates and options

for $15 per year, you will receive:

  1. a listing linked to your website with an image of your work on a subject page (digital image must be provided by email) Specific categories that accommodate your work may be added if they don’t already exist.

    NOTE: listings on additional subject pages may be added for $5 each per per year (digital images must be provided by the artist by email)

  2. a listing in up to three media categories (easel painting, photography, ceramics, etc.).

  • If you do not currently have a website, you can contact The Artist Index about either a custom, full-blown website or a more economical on-line portfolio. Please note that having us create any type of site for you is not necessary for you to be listed in any of the directories.
